We are all familiar with some form of the phrase “Seeing is believing,” but it is less common to hear the second half of that phrase, “Feeling is the Truth.” We might value seeing over believing in one aspect of life, while in another we favor believing over seeing. Understanding the phrase in it’s entirety presents itself as a paradoxical yin and yang.

“Seeing is Believing” starts off with laid back bass riff, drum loop, and funky 303 line. With it’s infectiously catchy piano break, synth strings and wah-wah guitar licks, this track could be a dance floor heater if played out to the right crowd.

“Feeling is the Truth” is an introspective slow burner that begins with a thick and groovy bass loop on top of a steady house backbeat. Layers of organ arpeggios, fuzzy brass, synth strings, and a bouncy piano hook are gradually added to a slowly shifting chord progression, with field recordings of birds and sounds from the ocean creating a soundscape in the background.
